In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to install and use Texture Packs in Minecraft Pocket Edition on Windows 10. Texture Packs are critical for enhancing gameplay and improving your experience. Sometimes they can be hard to figure out, so we made this guide to solve that issue, and make it easy.
When downloading a Texture Pack, they can come in a .mcpack extension. For these, you want to simply open the file, and it’ll auto install. The other extension for them is .ZIP or .RAR. If your texture pack comes in these, the following tutorial is for you.
1. Head Over to our Minecraft Texture Pack library on MCM and download your texture pack of choice. In this tutorial we will be using Fishy’s Wonderful Shaders Pack as an example.
2. Use WinRAR (or any other program that extracts files) to extract the Texture Pack zip file to the following location:
Replace the USERNAME part in the third section of the directory to your computer’s username.
3. Open the Minecraft Windows 10 Edition application. Once it’s opened click on the “Settings” button. Scroll down the list on the left until you find “Global Resources”. Then find Fishy’s Wonderful Shader Pack and select it and then press “Activate” (Or whatever your texture pack’s name is).
4. Enter your world or create a new one and enjoy your newly installed textures!
